The best season starts; the art and bits

Lena Singla
Autumn is my favorite season for creating. The light changes, the colors deepen, and everything feels more alive.
In the studio, I’ve been working on a new series inspired by the Mediterranean coast in autumn. The summer tourists have left, and what remains is a quieter, more contemplative version of familiar places.
New Work in Progress
This season I’m exploring:
- Coastal landscapes in changing light
- Wild autumn florals
- The interplay of warm and cool tones
The work is slower, more deliberate than summer pieces. Each layer needs time to dry, to reveal itself, before the next can be added.
Studio Updates
I’ve also reorganized the studio space to better accommodate larger works. The northern light is particularly beautiful this time of year, casting a soft glow that’s perfect for seeing colors true.
There’s something deeply satisfying about settling into the rhythm of studio work as the weather cools - long days of focused making, punctuated by walks along the coast to gather inspiration.
