This warm feeling called Christmas

And here we are once again, ready to celebrate Christmas! I’m especially happy this year because I’ve been able to fully enjoy the preparations and embrace the festive season with good spirits.

As always, I’m a bit late in sharing my creative projects, and I’m worried I won’t finish all my festive ideas in time. But in the end, it’s the process that truly matters!

Here are some of my creative projects and activities to inspire you to try your own, this holiday season or the next one ;).

Hand-drawing on gift wrap

This is a must-do every year! I drew the Christmas tree on a big present to make up for not having a real one. I had made one with bow thread and stuck it to the wall, but it didn’t last—it quickly turned into a toy for the cat…

Hand-made jewelry

This year, I decided to try crocheting some simple ribbon earrings. I still need to wear them and take some decent photos, but you can see one of them below.

DIY Christmas ornaments and decorations

I have a couple of creative projects still in progress. I picked up a clear plastic ornament to fill with little figures—or perhaps just a photo. I also just finished making another one using an old Christmas sock stuffed with sewing remnants.

I encourage you to find creative ways to make decorations out of items you no longer use, rather than buying tons of new ones. It’s more eco-friendly, budget-friendly, and if something breaks or wears out, you can toss it guilt-free. Plus, it aligns beautifully with the Christmas spirit—celebrating abundance without being wasteful. From last year, I have a garland made of small shells that I adore!

This year, I finally tackled something that had been on my mind for far too long. I had these tiny circular mirrors and wanted to create something with them. I started with one, engraving the back with a knife to make the design show on the mirrored side as line art. Then, I turned it into a full ornament with some clay and a simple crochet chain. That got me hooked, and now I’m engraving all kinds of glass with a better tool. Here are the rest of the mirrors, ready to hang… if only I had a real tree. XP

And let’s finish with the season greetings!

Have a Merry Christmas! Follow your heart, chase fun, love and creativity! Fill the tank for the new season!

The cold season has just started in the northern hemisphere, so we need to stay positive and active to make the most of it! Stay inspired and creative. 🔥

Love and joy from yours truly,

L·S
