Already Excited About the New Year?
Christmas has come and gone and so the magic of the season seems to start to decline. So it feels almost like an obligation to be excited about the new year to come. Not only the 1st of January, we should be happy to wake up every single day and celebrate that we have yet another day to live—and, hopefully, to make some new memories.
So, when faced with the prospect of a whole new year, it feels like being handed a new chance to start fresh, to chase the opportunities we missed in previous years. And once again, we’re confronted with our goals, dreams, expectations (both our own and those from others), and the mystery of destiny. Let’s be realistic—there’s also a bit of fear about the unpleasant surprises life might throw our way.
Life Goes On: Make It Fun While You Can
One thing we don’t have to worry about is whether life will happen. Whether it’s work, plans, or just daily routines, life moves forward—unless we hit “game over.” That’s probably the only finish line we’re all guaranteed to cross. And while we know the final “black screen” awaits, doesn’t that make it even more important to have a little fun along the way?
Reflecting on 2024: Was It Everything I Hoped For?
The number 24 has been my favorite for years, so I was optimistic that 2024 would be great. Was it good? Yes. Did I enjoy it as much as I expected? Not so sure. Expectations are funny like that—they’re just ideas, after all.
Until I gain some perspective, I can’t definitively say how good these months have been. But one thing I know: on the 31st, I’ll be celebrating all the good that 2024 brought me. It was a peaceful and calm year, though when I really look back, it was still filled with plenty of action. I’m grateful for that.
I’ll spend the last day of the year going through my camera roll and notes, reminiscing about the highlights and projecting good vibes for 2025. I believe years are like the stock market—they should always improve when viewed from a distance, even if there are some hiccups along the way.
Looking Ahead to 2025: Positivity and Possibility
For 2025, I feel positive—not just because of the experience of gradual improvement, but because I see proof that hard work pays off. Progress might be slow, but it’s steady. And honestly, age has helped me let go of the petty nonsense from my younger years. (If I’m saying this in my 30s, imagine what I’ll be like in my 50s!)
This year, I’m looking forward to pursuing more projects, creating more, exploring more, and experimenting with life. What else are we supposed to do? Just work 8 hours, watch TV, and take care of kids? No thanks—I’m on a different path.
A Toast to 2025: Planning, Working, and Dreaming Big
Let’s get to it: planning, working, and hoping for the best! A little wishful thinking can’t hurt, can it? Whether it’s magic or just mindset, I believe a positive attitude will make all the difference.
See you on the other side (of the year)!
The plan (aka, broad resolutions)
Should I share some goals and resolutions? They say if you put it out there the chances to get it done are much higher. So, I can say I’m ready to work on :
~ My AI generated designs, concepts and product ideas.
~ My data and analysis skills
~ My sewing and crafting skills (I still have projects to share and I’ll be documenting them better!)
~ My art and engraving skills (same as above)
~ More discipline in exercising (I do sports for fun but it’s also for health so…)
~ And increase my outdoor hours (which seems a contradiction to most of above)
So let’s make this a year of enjoyment, fun, creation and inspiration ✨🔥💪😁🎊
What is one thing that you’re totally achieving this year?
My best wishes and a wonderful 2025!!
~~~
